Cosmarium palatiniforme Van Westen & Coesel 2021

Another taxon in the crenate-like taxa complex, recently described by Van Westen & Coesel (2021, p. 246, figs. 2, 18, 19, 20, 33). Rather similar to a number of other species and close scrutiny of the crenations, cell ornamentation and L/B ratio is required. An atmophytic species found in ephemeral puddles and with moss on wet rocks.
