Haplotaenium minutum (J. Ralfs) T. Bando 1988
This species is smaller than the similar H. rectum and has a hardly discernible, if at all, basal inflation. The latter species is larger and has a small, but discernible basal inflation. Also compare with H. latius, which is attenuated towards the apices.
Cell dimensions: L: 80-167 µm; B: 6.8-14 µm; L/B: 7-12.
Infrequently recorded in moorland pools and disused peat-cuttings.
